Project Scope
Songo LMWS Project, the construction of a Limited Solar Mechanized Water System in Songo, Garu District,, marked a significant step forward in WAG’s mission to enhance access to water and sanitation in the region. Through the support from Water Aid Ghana, a sub-awardee of the USAID – US Agency for International Development 5-year program dubbed Enhancing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (En-WASH) project through to Global Communities (GC), Pumptech as an implementing partner was able to build this water system serving a population of 47,531 using 1 No solar-powered hybrid pump system with a PV of 77,000 watts, producing 640,000 liters of water per day.
